The Small Universal Polarimeter is a rugged visual circle polarimeter suitable for school and education. The polarimeter has a circular scale of ±180° angular degrees divided into full degrees. Together with the Vernier scale, rotations can be measured to an accuracy of 0.1° and with a little practice, even estimated to an accuracy of 0.05°. The LED light source is a very long-lasting illumination unit with a lifetime of approximately 50’000 hours.

The Saccharomat is a fully automated sugar polarimeter with worldwide unique quartz-wedge compensation. Quartz has an optical rotatory dispersion (ORD) almost identical to that of a sucrose solution. This ensures stable high precision measuring results without recalibration over the lifetime of the instrument. Dark samples with a high absorption can be measured at NIR wavelength (882 nm). For the measurement of Pol and Brix values at the same time, the Saccharomat can be coupled with a refractometer measuring head creating a purity analyser. More information
